Cento Family Moving & Storage

After a long search for movers, we came across Cento Family Moving and Storage on the internet.  After various quotes received from different vendors, we decided to go with Cento Moving because of the 5 star rating and excellent record with the BBB.  We felt with such an excellent record they had to be good.  We were not disappointed with the professionalism provided by this moving company. First with a written proposal and follow up phone calls so that everyone was one the same page for the move.  Thank you Cento Family Moving and Storage for making the transactions of this move a smooth one.  We will most definitely keep your name and number at hand for future moves.  .

Service cost: $1330

The owner Chris Cento arrived with 3 inexperienced and unprofessional workers. They took no pride in their job as they threw the boxed goods in the front foyer leaving them no room to move the remaining 90% of goods in the truck. The furniture was dragged across the wood floors, gauging the wood, bumping into the walls leaving holes, while damaging and leaving paint on the furniture deeply scaring the wood. Broke the mirror in the dinning room hutch. As they were leaving in a rush from Fl. They forgot the m.bedroom mirror, I had to run out, stop the truck and give them the mirror to take, this mirror arrived broken as well. This Beveled mirror cost $600.00 at time of purchase. One worker claimed he would not move a box twice and would not climb the stairs to second floor. C. Cento acknowledged the broken pieces has the falt of moving, claiming we would be reimbursed. We received a letter stating none of our broken good would be fixed or reimbursed. We were promised seasoned movers for a full day on both ends. This was not the case. After spending $3,500.00 for a smooth transition, instead we received rude, crude individuals waiting for the payout. We have moved into several homes in our life and never experienced the likes of this in any way shape or form. It is very disheartening to take pride in what you own, just to have someone else disregard your things like garbage. Giving a poor rating is an understatement. What is put out in the universe ..always comes back round.

Fantastic experience with our first move.  Chris from Cento moving made my move from Florida to Georgia possible on one of the busiest moving weekend of the year.  When I decided to use a mover, I received many quote from company big and small.  While Cento moving was not the cheapest, they were the most informative.  Chris made sure that we understand the process and answered any questions I had by phone or email promptly.  It was really a smooth set up.
 
During pick up, the team of four showed up on time.  They called slightly prior to pick up time to let me know their status.  They padded, wrapped and took apart all furniture with care and was able to load up my 3/2 family home in just short of 4 hours.  They also gave some excellent moving tip for future uses.  Everyone was professional and knowledgeable.
 
The delivery was 4 days later per my request.  They arrived 15 min early, and was patiently waiting while I sorted out some issues with the leasing complex.  They delivered everything (up 15 flight) with great efficiency and speed. They set up our new apartment and made sure everything stayed clean even through the small storm while we were moving in.  The same level of professionalism remained when we were at the storage facility.  Prior to leaving, Chris made sure we are 100% satisfied with the move.  It is very clear that they are focused on the quality of service and their customer.
 
All in all, this was a great experience.  I would use them in the future and recommend them to anyone.

I searched many companies and Cento Moving was not pushy in the least. They provided a quote in a very timely manner.  Their pricing was the best I found. 
My move was fairly simple, moving from one storage unit to another unit with a different company down the street.  They arrived early, both gentlemen introducing themselves.  They thought they would be done in around two hours and they were finished in 1 hour and 55 minutes. 
They handled my items as if it were their own.  They were very careful with breakables and furniture and even provided tips on how to remove surface mildew from my sofas.  They helped us load items into our vehicles that were coming back to the house with us and even offered to drive some things over to our home.
The guys were professional and very personable.  Hands down I would recommend them over and over again.

The decision to move came about quickly and we decided we were going to move ourselves as we did in the past. After listening to the Monsters in the Morning rave about Cento Moving, we thought we'd at least chat with them and see what services they could provide. Chris was great in providing a quote quickly, called us personally and corresponded by email whenever we had a question. The quote seemed reasonable and since we wanted to save our backs and friendships -we decided to hire them as our moving company. Matt was our point man that day and made sure everything went smoothly. The guys came in and looked around, saw what we were moving and what was staying and got right to work. They had us packed up and moved into the new place ahead of schedule. The guys were courteous, professional and fast. Cento Moving made this the quickest,easiest move we have ever made. We can't thank them enough and will refer them to everyone we know. Hopefully, we'll  be staying awhile but whenever the next move comes about, they will be our first phone call!

We had a wonderful moving experience with Cento Moving company. From start to finish the company owners and staff showed professionalism, courtesy, and great attitudes! Matt, Todd, and Bryant, our movers, were efficient and very careful with our belongings, wrapping all furniture and fragiles to avoid damage, down to our sleep by number bed. Upon delivery, to our new home, they unloaded our furniture and other belongings efficiently and with the same care as loading. Where I was concerned about the width of the entry door Matt assured me everything would fit and he was correct! They set up all the beds and wall units without any problems. We would not hesitate to use Cento Moving again and will definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving.  .

This was my 21st move and I decided to use movers for the first time in my life. I wasn't sure where to start as I have never heard of anyone having a good experience with movers. After listening to a radio add I decided to contact Cento Family Moving & Storage. Their customer service was outstanding as they were very prompt on their response to emails and phone calls. Because of this, I felt that Cento was the best decision for me and my family.

Bryant and Jerry were assigned to my move and showed up earlier than the starting time. Both gentlemen were very friendly and hard workers. They got the move done in exception time no issues. They truly made this experience one of a kind.

My wife and I have already decided that we will be requesting Cento on our next move. Hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon but we will make sure to request Bryant and Jerry.

Chris and his company handled a move for us from Florida to Colorado. I knew that he booked up quickly and contacted him a few months before our move, and it was good I did. I was impressed with Chris and the process from start to finish. Chris himself came out to our place to give an estimate, which was fair. We also contracted them to tow one of our vehicles along with the household items. On moving day, Chris came on time with two associates. They spent around 3 to 4 hours packing up our household furniture and items, doing so quickly, efficiently, and carefully. The plan was that Chris would take off the next day (a Sunday) for Colorado and arrive very early Wednesday morning. They actually arrived on Tuesday afternoon, and the workers he used here to unload were, again, fast and efficient. Everything arrived intact, there was no damage to either home, the car was fine. Chris was very responsive to inquiries from start to finish. It was a great overall experience, and I'd highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a move - whether it be across town or across the country.

Chris and the Cento Moving family are FANTASTIC. I was having a difficult time finding a reputable moving company. Everyone I looked at had bad reviews and problems with BBB. I heard about Cento Family moving on the radio from some people that I trust and respect so contacted them. Chris got back to me right away. I was really worried about my moved from Dallas Tx to Orlando but Chris helped me through it all. We chose to pack most of the stuff and have Chris and the crew pack up the large items (TV, pictures, mattresses,and so on). They showed up even a bit early on packing day and had us all moved out in no time. I had a couple of special items and the guys took extra care packing them up for me. When other companies told me that it could take up to 2 weeks from the time of pick up to delivery .. Chris told me 3 days and I asked to make it 4 and he was there. They laid out a runner over the carpet and stairs and Chris and the crew started moving us in. They set up the bedroom exactly as we wanted it and the rest of the house too so quick and carefully. NOT ONE damaged item. Then came the big surprise. Everyone had told me to prepare for about 10% additional on the day of delivery well that is where the surprise came in NOT A PENNY MORE than the estimate.
I highly highly recommend Cento Family Moving and Storage.

After years of moving myself, in and out of dorm rooms, from apartment to apartment, bribing friends with beer and sub sandwiches, I heard from a close friend about a moving company that helped him move into a house. I was moving from one apartment into a home, plus I needed to get some things to a storage unit I had already had for years that was 3 blocks away from my new home. Chris Cento, the owner of Cento Family Moving & Storage was upfront in his pricing and very friendly on the phone. His staff arrived on time, looked professional, and started immediately. I had packed all of my boxes, so the men were able to move quicker than I had anticipated. One of the movers mentioned that they did offer packing services just in case I needed it for next time. I didn't realize that moving companies offered that. I was new to the whole service aspect in the first place. After completely loading up their truck, they followed us to the house, unloaded what was needed, placed everything properly (heavy furniture, beds, etc.) and it was off to the storage facility, where they filled my unit (it was half full at the time) with the rest of my things. I was shocked at how quickly they were able to complete the job. Each time I had moved prior it was an ordeal, with renting the truck, making sure friends were available, and heaving everything twice, once on the truck, and once off. These movers barely broke a sweat! At that time, it dawned on me that I would never move myself again. Some people are simply better at it and their services are invaluable in terms of peace of mind. After the move was complete, absolutely everything was 100% intact, the men shook my hand and we parted ways. The owner, Chris, called me the next day to find out how everything went, which I also thought was a nice touch. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I will be calling them for my next move. .

Cento Family Moving has made my move EFFORTLESS. I was able to wake up in one place, come home from work and all my stuff was in my new place. I was quoted 3.25 hours and they were done in 2 hours! A pleasant surprise to say the least. All my stuff was placed where I asked it to be placed at the new place. They guys even picked up a few lose items that I wasn't even expecting them to move, and they did! Awesome job, I couldn't have been happier with their service.

Cento Family was fantastic! They arrived early and were ready to load in minutes. I had several heavy items moving from a second floor apartment to a third floor- Bryant and James had no problems and made it look easy. They were very considerate and took extra care of my glass top table. They even added a few items to the truck that I forgot to list.
Even though I worried they would work slow since they work by the hour, they finished under the four hour (minimum required charge) at 3 hours, 15 min.!
I have already recommended Cento to my friends!

This is the 2nd time that I have used Cento in the last 9 months.
First was a cross country (the detailed review is here) This past move was from the temporary apartment home to our permanent home (4 bedroom, 2 bath)
The guys again were great to work with. Connie in the office had us set up and scheduled. The crew showed up right on time and it took less than 4 hours to get us packed and loaded We chose to pack most of the stuff and have the crew pack up the large items (TV, pictures, mattresses,and so on).- moved across town and then unloaded and set up in the new location.

Never any surprise fees or problems. I just recommended them to my realtor who just bought a new house and is moving

Cento Family Moving are the people to use!!

I used Cento Family Moving to move from my home, storage for 1 month, and move into temporary apartment. Connie Lake, in the office, is OUTSTANDING. Unfortunately, the packers are poor (except for 1 gentleman from NY), wasted time discussing movies while my clock was running. I was told that the time needed to pack was "underestimated"! Needed to allow more time for conversation, I guess. More than 1/2 the boxes were not marked with the room the contents came from, much less identifying the contents. 1 living room end table has broken leg; wicker chair is damaged at the top and is unravelling; Copper Chef pans were not wrapped and are now scratched. These are the items I have seen. Due to lack of labelling, though I am in only temporary housing, I need to open every box. I am told that there will be no consideration for the extra time charged to pack, the lack of labelling, nor the damage, though I was charged many thousands of dollars for this temporary move. For sure, I will not hire Cento Family Movers for my next move, coming up shortly.

My wife and I moved to a home from a third floor apartment and we did have anyone to really help us move during the week. Her sister recommended Cento Family Moving and we could not have been happier for how everything turned out. They moved everything and under the estimated time frame. Everything was moved safely and the movers were not only professional but also very friendly. We would definitely recommend Cento Family Moving to anyone looking for movers!

Here is my Honest review on Cento Moving company that I personally hired for my elderly parents move on 7/13/18. Moving from storage in Ocoee to home in Haines City, Florida My initial impression based on my interaction with Connie in office was great Connie initially was very professional, and very pleasant as she handled my initial inquiry and questions. It is a shame that based on my first impression I wasn't able to rate a better experience with Cento Moving which quickly DECLINED along with Connie as the day progressed. Met crew leader Bryant who had the three man crew. Started off with one of the laborer running about an hour and half late for the job. What started off with an agreed upon cost of $1472 for two 10x25 storage unit quickly ending in trying to charge us close to $2000 for only one unit due to Bryant stated we had double the items we initially listed on inventory sheet. Keep in mind price was initially based off of an 8000 pound weight they came up with based on items I listed on their website. Which Bryant is basically stating they moved 16,000 pounds of items and furniture in one storage unit. Which according to their process is calculated only when each item is entered in computer. Not sure how Bryant calculated did manually on site since it wasn't entered in system. I Attached both list for review. I was told by owner Felipe the cost would be more but nothing crazy and received no communicate on rate until they arrived to the new location two hours after leaving storage. Keep in mind the distance between storage unit and home is only 50minutes. Also I was never advised by Connie drive time is part of labor hours apparently I am paying for those hours. That was NEVER DISCLOSED over the phone with Connie was told price includes assembly of furniture. was told no by Bryant when they arrived to home. Worst part of it all received call from Friendly Connie who WASNT so friendly anymore and lost all of those kind and professional skills she so pleasantly displayed at point of sale. She advised her crew could no longer finish the job due to we had double the items and in her own words stated "my guys can't stay there all night they have another job tomorrow and are going to be tired" She advised they could not get back out there till Tuesday mind you it was Friday. Leaving my elderly parents to incur additional cost not just from Cento, but also storage facility, and cost for new movers I had to scramble and stress about on a VERY SHORT notice. Since Cento DROPPED THE BALL on that. Spoke to Felipe and explained situation received NO EMPATHY, FLEXIBILTY, But a cold argumentive response. Not good for client customer relations. I refused to sign any paperwork that would say I agreed to any additional charges and was told by Felipe who already ordered the three man crew to stop unloading and lock up truck, that if I don't sign paperwork he would be coming to the home and by not signing I am basically authorizing him to leave with my parents personal belongings, which in turned caused me to call Haines City Police enforcement to have our items released, by me unwilling signing on the terms of $1600 payment for only half of our items, and the rest left in storage. Was stressed beyond reason that day and all because a company who I put trust in to help my elderly parents have a seamless move was to focused on business instead of really taking a real problem and bringing a reasonable solution for both parties that in turn would have resulted in a better rating and review. I am seeking a fair resolution for my parents, as I feel this was Price gauging and Cento was not true to their estimated figures given initially. Based on my experience I would not recommend their services however I do believe if a company is willing to accept their mistakes I would be willing to give an additional review based on the type of resolution Cento is willing to provide, as I know these negative review can affect any future business. My intent is not to affect their business, but to give Cento the opportunity to MAKE THIS RIGHT!!
